Spring days in the middle of winter! What’s going on with the crazy weather? Beautiful, warm, sunny spring days in the middle of winter! Daffodils and orchids. What an opportunity – the paint box came out in a flash and this painting was done alla prima and en plein air in the garden. When I look at it I can remember the warm winter sun on my back and the sound of the birds chirping.. even they thought it was spring. Now, even though we are sure to get more cold days before winter’s done, the painting will be there to remind me of the good times.
